Kumiko Ide oversees marketing for elevated services at Nordstrom's first international flagship store (including promotional efforts for the company's pilot 24hr Express Service, full-service concierge team, and delivery service). She manages over twenty people, and is dedicated to providing the best retail experience that Vancouver has to offer.
Before joining Nordstrom's management team, Kumiko was the Director of Digital at a boutique PR agency with a presence in Vancouver and Toronto. She provided strategic planning around digital programs, online content, and emerging technologies; prior, she also managed teams of social marketers for international campaigns with clients such as Destination Canada and Benefit Cosmetics.
Kumiko is also an instructor with Simon Fraser University's Digital Communications program, and the 2011 recipient of the Notable Young Professional Award (Category: Social Media). In March 2014, she was one of thirty people invited to attend the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's first social media forum on International Women's Day.
